01 — The practice
Four generations of Fresno smiles
This is a fourth-generation orthodontic practice. It has been making smiles since 1966, and more than 30,000 of them so far.
Today the office is led by Dr. Tae Kwon, a board-certified orthodontist, alongside Dr. Pawandeep Gurm, who grew up here in the Central Valley. The care is built around advanced technology and a treatment plan written for one person at a time, with the same values the practice has always run on: integrity, innovation, and care.
Straight teeth are only half of it. The goal is a smile that sits in harmony with your face and profile: teeth that follow the curve of your lower lip, an even gum line, and a result that looks natural from the front and from the side.

Braces
Time-tested and precise. Individual treatment plans for crooked teeth, crowding, and misaligned jaws.
Invisalign
Custom clear aligners that are removable at mealtimes. Dr. Kwon treats nearly all case types with them.
Early treatment for children
Interceptive care addresses jaw growth and bite problems while they are still simple to correct.
Teen orthodontics
Treatment tailored to the teenage years, so your teen can smile, laugh, and speak freely.
Adult orthodontics
Correct long-standing alignment issues, improve how you clean your teeth, and even out bite pressure.
Retainers
Custom retainers, including Vivera, hold your new alignment once the braces or aligners come off.
Sleep apnea treatment
Care for snoring and interrupted breathing during sleep, diagnosed and managed in the practice.
Orthognathic (jaw) surgery
For complex cases, jaw surgery is planned and coordinated as part of the orthodontic treatment.

Who you will see
Dr. Tae Kwon
Board-certified orthodontist
Dr. Kwon studied at UCLA for his undergraduate and dental degrees, then specialized at the University of Connecticut, where he earned a master's degree in orthodontics. His own childhood orthodontic treatment is what set him on this path.

Dr. Pawandeep Gurm
Orthodontist, Central Valley native
Dr. Gurm was born and raised in the Central Valley, in Caruthers, and is treating the community she comes from. Outside the office she spends her time with her husband, Harmeet, and their three young children.
