What the shop works on

-
Transmission and differential
Transmission service, rebuilds, and repair or replacement. Differential service and repair. This is the work the shop is named for.
-
Brakes, suspension, and alignment
Brake service, suspension repair, and wheel alignment, including the alignment check that follows suspension work.
-
Diagnostics and warning lights

The shop
A transmission shop that took on the rest of the car
Transmission City has been at 509 N Maple Ave since 2005, a few blocks off Belmont on Fresno's east side. The name says transmissions, and that is still the core of it, but the same bay handles brakes, suspension, alignment, diagnostics, and maintenance.
NAPA AutoCare Center. Transmission City is listed in NAPA's own AutoCare facility directory. Ask what the NAPA warranty covers on your repair before the work starts.
Before you call
Four things that speed up a quote
- The year, make, and model. Trim and mileage help too, especially on a transmission job.
- What the car is doing. The sound, when it happens, and whether it changes with speed or gear.
- Whether it still drives. If it does not, say so on the call so we can talk about getting it here.
- Any warning light. Check engine or ABS, and whether it is steady or flashing.
